Vegan in Las Vegas

I’m sorry, but before I dive into this food review, I have to make a shout-out to all the negative nancies who told us Las Vegas was janky and overrated. TAKE IT BACK! Las Vegas is epic and I will not tolerate Vegas slander on this blog!!

Ok, back to the food. So my sister, friend Je’lyn, and I spent all last weekend in Vegas, sitting by the pool, being grinded on by sexy AF Magic Mike dancers, and – of course – eating bomb vegan food.

We honestly very rarely left our hotel (the Palazzo at the Venitian). If you’ve been to Vegas, you know each hotel is, like, cruise ship-sized with a hundred restaurants in each. As I said, Vegas is epic. So here are some reviews of the restaurants we went to in our hotel!

Truth & Tonic

Truth & Tonic is the first and only all-vegan restaurant on the Las Vegas strip… and IT WAS IN OUR HOTEL!! How insane??

Truth & Tonic was one of the best vegan restaurants we have ever been to. The food was amazing, the servers were so incredibly nice, and the vibes were immaculate. We were in Vegas for two full days and ate breakfast here on BOTH days because that’s how much we loved it.

We got the French toast, the pancakes, and almond milk cappuccinos with creme brulee syrup (their syrup options were *chefs kiss*) which came with a FREE BISCOTTI. Some of the best vegan breakfast and certainly the best cappuccino I’ve ever had.

This is what I imagine my meal would be like when I get to heaven. One million/10 recommend. If you don’t come here, don’t even come to Vegas at all, bro!! (FYI, we also got the coffee cake and the cashew toast and it was ok, so maybe skip those!)

Brera Osteria

Brera Osteria is one of those restaurants where you can eat under the fake sky near the fake gondolas in fake Italy. In a cheesy, Vegas way, it’s super romantic and fun! This place wasn’t an all-vegan restaurant, but our waiter was vegan (had been for 8 years!! Dude was the man!!) and was super helpful and passionate about telling us the vegan options.

First of all, the free bread was vegan. Like when does that ever happen?

There were also a lot of vegan options on the menu. We ended up getting the spring chopped salad, the cauliflower couscous dish, the spicy tomato sauce pasta (the pasta shape choice was elite), and a coconut tapioca pudding for dessert that the waiter said we had to try. Everything was AMAZING. We literally could not stop eating and it felt like we were actually in Italy. If you love Italian food and are vegan and are in Vegas (I know that’s a tall order haha), you must come here!! They also had kombucha and sparkling apple cider for the sober peeps out there! I’m not sober, but I was at this dinner lol.

Sushisamba

Sushisamba was another super trendy restaurant in our hotel that was gorgeous on the inside and out – like all of you special readers! Although it sounds purely Japanese, it’s actually a Japanese Peruvian fashion restaurant. Sushisamba is not 100% vegan, but they do have a separate vegan menu if you ask for it.

We got the most amazing cocktails to start. I can’t remember their names… not because I got wasted though!! I just forgot, ok!? But if you want the same ones, just show them the picture in this blog!!

Then we got the mixed salad with ginger dressing, which was BALLER. I can never have it at my hometown Asian restaurant, so I was loving every bite. We also got coconut rice and BOY OH BOY. It was a serving size for 3 people and I ate the entire bowl myself. It was savory and flavorful and coconutty. I can’t stop thinking about it. I got #rice on the brain.

Then for the sushi rolls, we got the oshinko roll (I believe? Is that a thing? Some pickled veggie…), a nato roll (I wanted to try it after seeing everyone on TikTok eat it), and a few pieces of avocado and cucumber sushi. Everything was really good except the nato roll. I’m so, so sorry. Nato is NOT for me. I legitimately spit it out on the plate. My body would not let me swallow. That’s what she said! Anyway, definitely come. It’s such a vibe and the food is dank!!

Capri Pool Restaurant and Bar

If you go on a girl’s trip to Vegas and don’t sit and drink by the pool, did you even go to Vegas!? I mean, c’mon. It’s a must. We actually spent a few days reading and drinking by the pool, so we have to give a shoutout to Capri for having plenty of vegan options to keep us satiated and hydrated! The menu is a little unclear, though, because they have only 2 options marked vegan, but there are a bunch more if you just inquire about them.

To start, we got this delicious rum punch-esque drink. It dangerously tasted like fruit juice and we loved it. Then for appetizers, we got the chips and guac, a hummus plate, and truffle fries minus the parmesan. All were pretty good! Nothing to rave home about, but perfect for poolside snacks. For the main meal, we got a vegan margarita pizza. Can you believe that!? They had vegan cheese at this place!! It was so, so yummy!

Then the next day, we came back for dole whip!! Legit DOLE WHIP. Confirms my theory that Las Vegas is just adult Disneyland. They served two flavors – pineapple and strawberry (I think)- but we just got pineapple. It was soooo good.

Random Mentions

The hotel of course had room service with a few vegan options, including overnight oats, avocado toast, a vegan impossible burger, and a few other things. We only ordered room service once (since we ate out the rest of the time) and, when we did, Bella got the overnight oats pictured below. The room service man was RAVING about them, so the expectations were high. Lo and behold, the oats lived up to the hype. Bella LOVED them. So definitely get them if you’re an overnight oats fan. She said it tasted like dessert.

There were a few huge candy stores on the level with the Canal Street shops, but the one closest to the gondolas had CANDY APPLES!!! Literally, these remind me so much of my childhood and I can’t find them anywhere. All three of us got one and ate them in minutes. How epic?? Only in Vegas, baby!

Last but not least, Starbucks! The hotel has like five of them! All your standard vegan options are available, of course.

Anyway, don’t listen to the haters. Vegas is amazing, bye!!
