Vegan orange chicken at Panda Express? As David at the Dentist would say, “Is this real life!?” Wow, I feel like I just made such a millennial reference. Was that cheugy? Omgee, help lol. 

Regardless of my cheugyness, I really thought you all should know that Panda Express recently tested out a totally new vegan option – vegan orange chicken – brought to you by none other than the vegan giant, Beyond Meat. 

Unfortunately, they were only serving the new option for a limited time at a limited number of restaurants in LA and NYC, but you bet you bottom I made my way to the nearest Panda Express to get my hands on that chicken. Yes, of course, I wanted to try a new vegan Panda Express item, but, above all, what I really wanted to try was the Beyond Meat chicken!!

Pre-veganism (aka the dark ages I call them), chicken used to be my favorite meat. So now that the vegan community has nailed the faux-beef, I’m over the moon that these big companies are diving into the world of faux chicken. Let the faux chicken revolution begin! 

But right, back to the review. My verdict: it was delicious!!! I absolutely loved it and so did my sister. It tasted like the real thing! Plus, I got it on a bed of steamed greens and those were delicious as well! Apparently, the lo mein, veggie spring roll, and fortune cookies are vegan too – so if they make this Beyond Meat chicken a staple in the future, I’ll have to try a little bit of everything.
