Vegan at Pret A Manger – London

If you live in London, you know that there is a Pret A Manger literally on every other street. I don’t know what the equivalent would be in America (Maybe McDonalds?) but it basically is a little cafe where you can buy pre-made sandwiches, soups, coffee, and desserts on the go. It’s like fast food but healthier.

Anyway, they have a few options here for vegans (always at least one), but the labeling is very misleading so read carefully. On the name plaques of the food, everything that is vegan OR veggitarean has a little green circle on it. However, in really really really small letters above the circle it says either “veggie” or “vegan”. At first I just saw the green circle and the “ve” and though it was vegan until I took a closer look. Don’t make the same mistakes I did kid!

Anyway, that day they had a hummus/falafal salad, a “super greens & reds sandwich” and an AMAZING baguette with avocado, basil, and tomato which is what I got. I devoured that shit. Sorry America, the bread in Europe is off the charts. Craving it rn.
