Vegan at Pollen – Los Angeles, CA

GUYYYYYYSSSSSS this place is so fucking cute and I had no idea it existed until my friend Maxine (aka @planthappy on insta #plug) posted about it.

It’s nestled into quiet Echo Park, the staff is so friendly, there are dogs everywhere, and the food is so yummy. There is always a bit of a wait, i’d say 20-30 minutes or so, but the wait is worth it.  Olie said the interior reminded her of London, but I said the exterior reminded me of Australia. So there you go! Best of both worlds, folk.

They have a few vegan options, not a ton, but it’s a great place to go with your non-vegan friends. We ordered the hot chocolate with oat milk which was not only SO DELICIOUS I CAN’T EVEN (i’m a hot chocolate hoe for life), but it also came in the cutest little galaxy cup. Low-key the best vegan hot chocolate I’ve had in a while.

We also ordered the vegan eggs benedict which had such a yummy sauce and the most delicious crispy tofu. Olie wasn’t a huge fan of the bean patty, and I wouldn’t say it was my favorite vegan eggs benedict ever, but it was yummy and satisfying and I would for sure come back again.DSC00410

If you want some chill vibes, dank hot chocolate, non-vegan options for your non-vegan friends, and some yummy breakfast…. come here!!!
