Vegan at Nikko Ramen in Paris

It was a bit rainy one night in Paris during our recent trip and I was feeling under the weather (bad allergies – don’t come at with those Covid accusations!!), so we decided to go somewhere that had yummy, warm ramen. We saw Nekko Ramen pop up on Happy Cow, so we thought we’d give it a shot since it wasn’t too far from our hotel.

We were surprised to see a literal line down the block to get in LMAO. But, mama didn’t raise no quitter, so we waited in line for an hour to get in because, if the line was long, that meant the ramen was GOOOOD.

To clarify, the entire restaurant isn’t vegan, but they did have vegan options which the waiter was happy to explain to us since they didn’t have an English menu. We ended up going with the traditional vegan ramen and the veggie potstickers.

The potstickers had a good texture and a great dipping sauce, but the flavor was kinda lacking. We felt the same way about the ramen. It was warm and hearty, which was nice, but totally lacking in flavor. Was it worth the hour-long wait? No. Would I go back? No lol.

BUT was it nice to have hot ramen on a rainy day? Yeah. Also, it’s always nice to see restaurants including and considering vegans, so no harm done!
