Vegan at Kure in Portland

Yes, I know Portland is the city of vegan junk food (ala Voodoo donuts and Sizzle Pie) but it also has some pretty good healthy places if you’re ever looking for a pick me up (or are lame and afraid of carbs)!

We found this little juice shop called Kure and it was super cute (also one of the workers there was HOT)! There is no seating with tables in the shop, but there are two small benches to munch on, which we sat at because it was raining that day.

Their menu is pretty small, but basically, it consists of juices, smoothies, three different acai bowls, three different oatmeal bowls, and a grain bowl. Pretty simple!

I ended up getting a dragon fruit kombucha (because I was feeling my inner Khaleesi), a “Kura Bar” (basically an almond butter-date-nut-cinnamon bar), and the Sunrise Acai bowl. I LOVED what I got. Everything was super delicious and fresh.

Bella, on the other hand, got an oatmeal bowl and a vegan hot chocolate. She loved the oatmeal (which is cray because she hates oatmeal and thinks only psychos eat it) but said the hot chocolate was more savory that she would have liked.

She also bought their “pizza crackers” for our friend and me to nosh on in the hotel room later that day and we loved them!! Usually, pizza-flavored things can be a bit gnarly, but these were addictive.

So, if you’re a vegan in Portland looking for something that won’t clog your arteries,  Kure would be a good start!

P.S. Here’s a picture of my friend and me on one of the benches in the juice shop that Bella snagged lol #antisocialsocialclub
