Vegan at Bryant Park Winter Village 2023

In the wise words of Christmas queen Mariah Carey, “IT’S TIIIIIIMEEE!!!” Yes, we’re talking Christmas time. I know it’s only November, but November 1st to December 21st is officially Christmas time and I won’t take any other opinions on that!

So, of course, we had to stop by the Bryant Park winter village for some holiday vibes and yummy treats. TBH, there were a TON of vegan options. Almost every other stand had vegan options. So, these are just some of the ones we found/tried, but I’m sure if you go, you’ll find a bunch of others!

WHOOPIE COMPANY

Whoopie Company is a little stand that sells whoopee pies. They’re not all vegan, but they always have a seasonal vegan one, which we got! I forgot the flavor, but it tasted like a snickerdoodle s’mores situation and it was so, so yummy! The chocolate dipped part was our fave. Dip her in,  baby!

WINTER PIE SHOP

So, I’m not actually sure if the pie shop has vegan piesbut I do know they randomly have vegan hot chocolate with vegan marshmallows. The whip is NOT vegan, so make sure to skip that. This hot cocoa was very publicized on Tik Tok as a good vegan option at the Bryant Park winter village, but, in my opinion, it was only ok! Tasted like hot chocolate made with hot water instead of the advertised oat milk, which was weird. Wished it was creamier, but my sister liked it and said it was solid! So maybe get it for the vibes than anything else.

BABKA BAILOUT

Babka Bailout is a non-vegan babka shop (I loveeee babka) offering a vegan dark chocolate babka! How yummy!!! We got a loaf and BOY OH  BOY was it delicious. 10/10. If you’re a babka whore like me, you must try it.

MAMA’S CUPBOARD

This was a non-vegan Vietnamese stand with a ton of vegan options. They had fries you could order with all sorts of vegan toppings like the standard condiments, but also veganaise, sweet chili, hoisin, etc. They also had two vegan sandwiches (make sure to order the vegan versions!): the crispy tofu sandwich – essentially a bahn mi- and the mock duck sandwich.

Both were OUT OF THIS WORLD. My non-vegan friend got her own and loved them. The french bread was so crackly on the outside and soft on the inside. The pickled veggies were divine. The tofu was prepared deliciously and the mock duck meat was so flavorful. Best thing we ate by far!!

Anyway, that’s it! Give it a visit and let us know if you try anything else vegan!
