The Real Coconut Review – Malibu, CA

Prior to a few months ago, the restaurant The Real Coconut (the brand behind those awesome, yet weird coconut flour tortilla chips they sell at Whole Foods. You know which ones, right?) only existed in Tulum, Mexico. Bougie, right? And do you know how many trips I planned out with friends to go to Tulum before abandoning it altogether and deciding it was too expensive to go? More than I can count. Because of that, I actually thought I would never get to try the awesome-looking restaurant.

BUT God and the angels were  looking out for me (#bless) because they decided to open one in Malibu at the Malibu Country Mart! Of course, I rushed my ass over there within days of the opening. The interior/exterior was so cute/beachy and the plant-based menu was amazing! The place was also POPPIN, which made me so happy to see!

My twin and I went with our friend Jay and ended up getting a few things to split. We got the nacho bowl, the quesadillas, and the vegan burger.

I also got this mint/greens/pineapple smoothie thing, which was incredible.

Overall, the food was simple but super tasty, fresh, and clean. The vibes were also immaculate. I would def go back if I ever found myself in the area. Now I just have to find a way to get to Tulum… anyone wanna be my sugar daddy?
