EAT. DRINK. VEGAN. 2018

Music festivals? Who cares. Food festivals? COUNT ME IN, HOMIE.

So, if you’re in the vegan community, you probably know about the gigantic 21+ vegan food and beer festival called ‘Eat. Drink. Vegan.” If you haven’t heard of this, get with it, ok???

Also, if you aren’t 21 (or don’t have a convincing fake ID hehehe), then I’m sorry, but ignore this post.

If you are 21, then you’re in luck! This festival literally has EVERYTHING to offer. It’s held in the backyard of the Rose Bowl and has 300 tents of vegan food, products, and fashion brands from all over the country and globe! Anything you’ve ever craved or wished was vegan, they have it and it is vegan! It’s just such an amazing, fun, and delicious event and if you can make it, I 10/10 recommend going next year.

There were sooooo many tents, so of course we couldn’t stop at them all, but here are a few that we did stop at:

The Dirty Cookie: Hands down, it was the cutest and most insagram-worthy place at the festival. They specialize in vegan cookie shots with little emoji  candies on the outside. I got the chocolate chip cookie shot lined with chocolate and sprinkles, filled with an iced cold brew latte, and topped with an ADORABLE candy unicorn emoji. Unlike most instagram worthy food… this one tasted just as delicious as it looked!

Southern Fried Vegan: Here we got a southern bowl with vegan mac n’ cheese, sauteed greens, and fried chicken yo! Honestly, it was so amazing that Bella, our vegan friend Maxine (@planthappy), and I devoured it all together in like 5 mins. Only critique was that it needed more fried chicken, more greens, and a bit less mac. Sorry mac, but you’re a little too extra. Need me some friiiieedddd chicken.

Sizzle pie: This is a Portland based pizzeria we actually went to in Portland a few months ago (if you want the full blog review for that, just check out Portland tab in the review section of our homepage #shamelessplug). Sizzle literally has some of the BEST vegan pizza I’ve ever had (sorry, but Craigs in LA still has the #1 spot), so Bella and I made sure to go to this tent. The pizza was delicious, served by the slice New-York-style, and everything we wanted and more. Even Maxine gave it two thumbs up! Woohoo!

A British tent I can’t currently remember the name of: They were serving VEGAN MOZZERELLA STICKS!!!  The sticks were great, but not gooey enough to really represent ~authentic~ mozzerella sticks. I still give them a 7 out of 10 though.

Last but not least, kombucha! The festival gives you a free glass at the entrance and they have a BUNCH of different brands/flavors  all over the festival with free refills! (And beer, but beer lowkey tastes like garbage juice??)

For the grand finale, the three of us also got to meet LAUREN TOYOTA from Hot For Food!!! She was so charasmatic and sweet and had such a calming energy that I’ve officially decided I’m hot for Lauren Toyota. John’s missing out!
