Coco Luv Plant-Based Bakery Review

This past weekend, my twin, my friend, and I decided to spend our Sunday morning by doing the most LA thing of all time: going to a farmers market. The farmers market we chose to go to was the Melrose Farmers Market. Not only is this market closer to our apartment than the Hollywood one, but it’s also less crowded/hectic.

Basically, I’ve been to this market a million times, and generally don’t see many new stands. So you can understand my #shookness when I saw this new vegan stand the second we walked into the market!!! It’s called Coco Luv and, trust me, I coco-loved it. Ok, that was cheesy, but I had to.

Coco Luv is an all plant-based bakery located only at the Melrose farmers market in LA. I belive you can also buy certain baked goods online, but other than that, they don’t have a brick-and-motor storefront or anything like that.

So, you hungry vegans, I’m sure you’re wondering: what does Coco Luv even have at their stand? UM, EVERYTHING I’VE EVER DREAMED OF AND MORE!?!?! Cinnamon buns, banana bread, rocky road cookies, fudge brownies, coffee cake… the list goes on.

I got three rocky road cookies for $5 (one for each of us) and Bella got a coffee cake and a lemon-iced pound cake. I’ve weirdly been having an obsession with vegan marshmellows lately (no, I’m not pregnant!!) so I was drooling all over those rocky road cookies. They were divine. Bella raved about her baked goods all night too.

On another note, Jay, my friend, got into a gnarly fight with the lady at the pickle stand nearby and it got real weird real fast. They legit hated each other by the end of the encounter and it was super confusing. Like… Jay got bullied by a pickle lady. Only in LA, man.

So should you go to Coco Luv? I would Coco-luv if you did. Should you go to the pickles stand? Eh, not unless you want to find yourself in a pickle 😉
