Vegan and Ethical Silk Brand – Ethical Kind

Disclaimer: I apologize in advance if this post is controversial. I know any product that comes from an animal is technically not vegan, especially since the animal cannot consent to give us their lives or their byproducts. However, I was given this as a gift and will be keeping it/using it, so read at your own risk (and please don’t hate me!! I’m a fragile gal!)

So my boss recently got me the cutest holiday gift this year – a silk pillowcase and a luxurious silk eye mask from an ethical silk company called Ethical Kind. I usually don’t buy or wear silk on my own; however, this silk company seems to really prioritize the life of the silkworms above all else and that really stood out to me. The card in the box literally specifies that they are able to collect the silk without sacrificing animal life. More details on their process below:

The company also donates to children’s education and really prides itself on giving back to the community from which it gathers its silk from. Again, it is up to each vegan to decide whether or not they want to buy/use silk. However, if you decide to, I highly suggest buying from a company like Ethical Kind who produced silk, but prioritizes animal life and the environment while doing so.

So far, I have fallen IN LOVE with my eye mask. It’s so thick and fluffy and fancy feeling. I use it every time I wake up late in the morning and want to sleep in, despite it already being bright outside. I haven’t used the pillowcase yet, but it seems just as soft and luxurious.

Here is the website if you want to check them out and learn more about their mission: https://ethicalkind.com

However, if this product isn’t vegan enough for you, no worries, boo. Just keep scrolling.
