So idk about you guys, but I LOVE tropical fruit. I’d rather have a lychee over an apple any day. In fact, my favorite fruit is pineapple and if I had to guess, my sister’s fave fruit is passion fruit. Growing up, I also loved piña coladas (virgin of course). So you could say I had a tropical palette!
Well, I found this website called Tropical Fruit Box that is able to ship you a ton of tropical fruits from Florida in the matter of a week!!! Okay, so one of my goals for 2021 is budgeting, BUT I ordered this box in 2020 so it was fair game to blow some cash. I ended up blowing like $160 dollars on a “pick your own fruit” box (ok before you freak out, it was my Christmas present to myself. Some people like Cartier bracelets, I like tropical fruit. Sue me). And the best part about spending this much?! I GOT A FREE PINK PINEAPPLE IN MY ORDER. (Those things sell for $50 a pineapple!!!)
I’m not going to lie, I didn’t realize how much fruit I was going to get. I legit got a box of fruit big enough to feed a family of 12. I gave half away to my sister and then half of my half to one of my neighbors. And I STILL had a TON of fruit leftover. So, don’t spend as much as I did unless you want more fruit that you know what to do with lmao.
I got lychee, passion fruit, mango, and pink pineapple. What a perfect combo. They don’t come ripe so you do have to wait a bit, but all the fruit was so fresh and sweet and delicious. The best part was putting the passion fruit on top of the other fruits. We also had some oranges from Whole Foods and the passion fruit tasted AMAZING on top of oranges.
And guys… the pink pineapple? IT WAS BOMB. Not only is it stunning, but it is sweeter and less acidic than normal pineapple. Straight up a win win. It’s also a unique gift to get someone who already has everything. I bet they don’t have a pink pineapple!!!
