So Delicious Dairy-Free Mousse Review

Guys, does anyone else find it weird that mouse and mousse are spelled so similarly? No? Just me? Ok, cool.

Anyway, because of the  Halo Top craze (low-calorie ice cream), many other brands have also been tried to create decadent, low-calorie dessert options.

Wink, the ice cream brand, tried to do it, but, no offense, failed epically. Their pints are only 100 calories each (red flag af) and taste like icey stevia. However, So Delicious decided to jump on board with the low-calorie frozen dessert options, but instead of being basic and attempting ice cream, they decided to be unique and do a vegan mousse.

As a lover of weird desserts, I knew I had to get my hand on one of these bad boys. Or two of them. Or three. Honestly, I just wanted to get my hands on as many as possible. However, every time I tried to find them at Erewon or Whole Foods in LA, I could never find them. My hunt for the So Delicious mousse felt endlessly futile. S0 I sat awake at night, while the candlelight dwindled into darkness, wondering why I simply couldn’t find my way to these delicious treats. However, the universe did not lead me astray. It wasn’t until I was at the Whole Foods in San Ramon that, alas, I found the treasure.

I ended up getting two flavors: salted caramel swirl and chocolate chip. I’m not going to lie, at first try, I was like “wtf is this?” I think I had that reaction because I was expecting it to taste and feel like ice cream, but it was fluffier and more mousse-like (go figure). However, the more spoonfuls I had, the more OBSESSED I became with it. The chocolate chip flavor was good, but the salted caramel swirl was epic. It was just so weird and good at the same time that I had to keep going in for more.

So my advice: if you like weird/yummy desserts, definitely try this one out. If you stan ice cream for life, maybe skip this one out.
