Candy is one of my favorite things. Chili seasoning is one of my favorite things. Veganism is one of my favorite things (obvs). So imagine if all three of those things combined to create an epic vegan snack that is so good, you’ll talk to your grandkids about it one day… 

Everyone, meet Chili Chews. For those of you who don’t know what Chili Chews are, they are a candy company (“gourmet chili candy company” as they have titled themselves) that combines popular candy brands with their own chili seasoning. If you’re wondering, yes, I did find them on an Instagram ad and, yes, I got suckered into buying them. No, I was not disappointed. 

While not every candy at Chili Chews is vegan, they do have a handful of vegan options. Aka: any candy that is generally vegan will most likely be vegan at Chili Chews and vise versa. Ya feel? 

I ended up getting the Strawberry Belt and Sourpatch chili chews. However, I should make a disclaimer. I did order them to LA while I was in NYC for a few weeks, so the candy/seasoning did come a little melted and sticky from sitting in my hot apartment, which you will see in the photos below. It tastes better than it looks though, I promise!! (That’s what she said?) 

My review: 10/10. They are legit SO amazing. Imagine candy… but on flavor steroids. They basically take the mango-tajin/sweet-spicy flavor combo to a whole new level and I’m obsessed. My only complaint is that they market the candies coming in little cute plastic jars. I ended up getting mine in weird white baggies with no nutritional info on the back. Like, at first, I thought they were drugs lol. The presentation was not it, sorry not sorry.
