Vegan at THE MELTING POT- WHITE PLAINS, NEW YORK

Who doesn’t love fondue!? Everybody makes a big deal about the melting pot being gross, but i’m here today to deny that rumor. I actually love it and think it is so much fun. The staff is so friendly and fondue is just such a fun way to share a meal with friends. We make it a tradition to go every year with our friend on her birthday. The only problem that you may encounter is sharing a pot of oil with a non-vegan, in which case you could work something out with the staff. We didn’t really mind, as long as my friend’s meat didn’t touch our tofu. We always order the California salad (without the cheese) and it is SO amazing.

Then we ask for the Good Earth Vegetarian entrée (the Thai peanut marinated tofu is vegan but the ravioli is not). You can ask your waiters about which sauces are accidentally vegan too. Make sure to ask for the fresh seasoned vegetable broth for your entrée fondue (Seasoned Court Bouillon). Unfortunately the dessert (chocolate fondue) are not vegan, but you can probably ask for a plate of fresh fruit if you’re still not full (i’m always full by the end of the entrée because there is so much to eat!) It is fun and delish!

P.S. My friend is creeping in the background #creeper and that is my friend’s dessert plate
