Vegan at Saké Restaurant & Bar – Melbourne, Australia

Hey guys, so I’m studying abroad in the incredible city of Melbourne for the next couple months. My most important goal while I’m here is FOOD HOPPING. And boy is Melbourne the place to do it! Melbourne has some of the most incredible food I’ve ever tried in my ENTIRE life.

So, when my mom was in town, she really wanted some Japanese food, so the hotel we were staying at suggested this place.

Before I go into what I ate, the food was incredible, the waiter was super helpful in accommodating my vegan needs, HOWEVER, they were really slow here. So if you’re in a rush, don’t come here LOL.

Before you order, make sure to tell the waiter you are vegan and ask what they can make for you. SO, to start they had edamame (which was coated in chile something, so a wee-bit spicy). And then I had this  lettuce dish which i didn’t quite enjoy, however my family friends LOVED it.

hhhhhh

THEN I had the most AMAZING eggplant dish. Not sure what it was called, but it was sort of like an eggplant steak. INCREDIBLE. Tasted like I was eating an actual steak. And remember folk, I don’t even LIKE eggplant. Ugh, yum. I would come back here just for this.

hhh

Then I had some veggie sushi, which not going to lie, tasted VERY bland. Like how do you fuck up sushi?? Come on, Melb. I know you got this.

hhh

And THEN I got this agedashi tofu dish that was SO YUMMY. Ugh, it was so good, just thinking about it. Literally all I want rn.

Ugh I would DEFF come back for that eggplant and tofu. Delectable, I’ll tell ya
