Birthday Breakfast Idea

Hey guys! I know this isn’t a “Recipe” per se, but it is a breakfast idea!

It was my Grandpa’s birthday recently and Olie and I wanted to surprise him with something special that morning before we had to catch an early flight to LA. We asked our Grandma what we should make him and she suggested pancakes!

We didn’t want to give him boring pancakes, so we decided to make them fancy and fit for a celebration!

We made very simple, vegan pancakes (with real flour and baking powder, etc. Not those bullshit banana-oat flour pancakes. No offense LOL) and we topped it with some blueberry sauce to make it look fancy. To make the blueberry sauce, just put some frozen blueberries in the microwave and heat them up. They have to be frozen though so the excess water can create a sauce.

Then, to make it even more fancy, we used a bento lunch box and filled it with different toppings such as coconut, almonds, fruit, and maple syrup.

To top it all off, my grandma put a candle in the pancakes and made it look like a cake! My grandpa loved it and even wanted to keep the leftovers for later.

So if you are looking for a non-conventional birthday treat, this is it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!
