Vegan in Boston

Go green or go home!!! Am I right, betches? (Yes, the answer is yes. Sorry Trump).

So I know there’s a lot of debate on whether climate change is real or not (news flash, it is) but I think a large part of this debate people tend to ignore is how beneficial veganism is towards drastically slowing down (or even stopping) the rate of global warming. That’s why it always baffles me when environmentalists aren’t vegan…??? Like… you dumb, bro??? (I’m looking at you Leo Dicaprio).

Honestly, if the world suddenly went vegan, we would solve a lot of problems (mainly environmental, but also health/physical, moral, and honestly we would probably stop war, but maybe I’m just being a lil idealistic. Whatever, let me dream in peace.)

Anyway, so my little sister Leila took me to an Environmental Climate Change Rally in Boston this past weekend and it was so amazing to see how many people care so much about saving this planet and the animals on it too!

These were just some of the signs and flyers that we saw:

Anyway, what would be a trip to a new city without a little vegan grub, ya know what I’m sayin????? Damn right you do.

So we only had time to go to two places, but they were BOMB AF and if you’re vegan and visiting Boston for a day, def hit up these places first. (I’ll put a list at the end of other vegan places in Boston we didn’t get to go to).

Number one: Cocobeet

Cocobeet is a very trendy juice bar that serves awesome and creative juices, smoothies, acai bowls, and avo toast. I got the black rose juice (rose extract, lemon, charcoal, and agave) which was amazing. Then my sister and I split the Pitaya Bowl and the Avo toast (which came with nut cheese underneath the avo). So so so good. My little sister legit could not stop talking about it all day. 10/10.

Number two: Fomu

Fomu is an ALL VEGAN ice cream parlour and bakery BUT it is literally so cool and trendy. Marble countertops and trendy ice cream flavours like Avocado (my family friend who’s not vegan got that flavour and he legit INHALED it lol), Rubard Pie (with legit chunks of pie in it), F’oreo (vegan cookies and cream with homemade cookies), you get the gist.

They also have cakes and cookies and muffins that are all vegan. I was pretty full from lunch so I got a mini chocolate chip cookie dough and it BLEW MY MIND. Legit so fresh and yummy and delicious. This is def a must stop if you’re in town.

Vegan places in Boston we did not hit up but heard about:

  1. Sweetgrean (Salad place. The ones in NYC and LA are amazing)
  2. Veggie Galaxy (Vegan fast food?)
  3. by Chloe (yes they have one here!!)
  4. True Bistro (vegan sit down restaurant)
  5. Mother Juice (Vegan juices and acai bowls)
  6. Grasshopper (Vegan/veggie asian eatery)

So that’s it folks! If I had more time and room in my stomach, I would have reviewed all these places, but I’m human and sometimes I just have to except that. (Although honestly, sometimes my stomach is a black hole).
