If you’ve ever followed a vegan on Instagram who lives in Melbourne, then you’ve definitely  heard of Smith and Deli. Smith and Deli is an ENTIRELY vegan deli. Yes, you read that right. A VEGAN DELI.

It’s super hip and trendy and you’ll see all different types of Aussie hipsters in there. The deli is also a mini supermarket and has everything vegan, including an entire section with all of the vegan Ben and Jerrys. 

The sandwich list is SO overwhelming because they all sound INCREDIBLE. I got the ‘Parmegeddon’ which is a vegan chicken parm’ on a roll. It was SO tasty. 

I liked Smith and Deli so much, I came back like 3 days later. Just remember, I’ve only been in Melbourne for one week to this day, and I’ve managed to go to Smith and Deli TWICE. That’s how incredible it is.

The second time I went, I got the Foghorn, which is a chicken sandwich and SO delicious, and the Hail Setitan which was MY FAVORITE. Ugh just thinking about it makes me drool. It had bbq seitan, cheese, pineapple, and just warm yummy goodness. GEEZ. I would pay someone a million dollars to go get me one right now. UGH. Both were INCREDIBLE. I’ve never been to Heaven, but I’m pretty sure there is a Smith and Deli there.

And for dessert, I got the doughnut and the SAMOA brownie. BEST DOUGHNUT IVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE AND IVE TRIED SO MANY VEGAN DOUGHNUTS. I swear they put cocaine in that shit. It was magical. So soft and yummy and orgasmic. 

And that samoa brownie was just fudge-y and delicious and ugh. 

There’s also really cool street art on the way to the deli if you walk there!

I either hallucinated this magical enchanted vegan deli or it actually exists and I picked the right place to study abroad.
