Vegan at Nanashi- Paris, France

Nanashi is an organic Japanese café right down the street from the other vegan café Wild and Moon. Not everything here is vegan but everything that is vegan is clearly marked and clearly AMAZING! Lol, I feel like I keep saying that about all the food in Paris, but it’s true. When people tell you that the food is better in Paris, they aint lying my friends.

So to start, we each got 2 Onigiri which is basically little triangles of rice wrapped in seaweed filled with various things like fig pieces, pumpkin seeds, etc. I really liked it, especially dipped in soy sauce. It was a little weird sometimes with the fig and all, but overall a really interesting food! (Also, Onigiri is just fun to say lolz)

To drink, we both got fresh juice, which was amazing, and for our meal, we got the vegetarian platter, which had a super amazing salad and a delicious plate of couscous-like grain centered around a stuffed zucchini. In the stuffed zucchini, there was something that tasted like cheese. Not sure what it was so, I avoided it even though they said the plate was vegan. Like it was too good to be fake cheese, but then again, all the food in Paris is leagues better than American food.

For dessert, Bella ordered a “chocolate date cake with fresh date cream”. I know that sounds super bizarre, but it was some of the best chocolate cake I have ever had! It was light, not dense, and the perfect amount of chocolaty! I was def surprised and def impressed!
