Vegan at Gatwick Airport

So now that I’m studying abroad, I’ve become one of those travel gurus who like travels all over the world and find herselfs. You know, like Eat Pray Love. No, I’m kidding. It’s more just like Eat Eat Eat (Occationally pray and love, but you catch my drift).

Anyway, airports are the worst. You know it. I know it. We all know it. It is a truth universally acknowledged that airports suck.

But, food makes everything better, right?

So if you ever find yourself in Gatwick, here are some food options to cheer yourself up.

“Grain Store Cafe & Bar” is a cute lil restaurant on the upper floor of the terminal. Not to mention it has BOMB-ASS OATMEAL. (Which is called porridge in London. They lowkey do not understand what the word oatmeal means). And they had all the vegan items marked on the menu. But their soy porridge is like out of this world.

This terminal also had a Pret A Manger, which  has mutiple vegan soup, salad, or sandwich options. Not to mention these yummy chocolate rice cakes you can take on the plane with you for a little snacky-snack.

And last but not least, you can find vegan snacks at mostly all British airport snack shops. At this one I found some Nakd Salted Caramel bites, Hippeas, and a few other granola bars.

So yeah, there you have it. A makeshift, impromptu vegan guide to Gatwick airport.
