Vegan at Blythe Anne- East Village, NY

Yes, it’s true!!! NYC does have its very own vegan ice cream shop. And not only is it any ordinary ice cream shop, it’s BLYTHE ANNE’S (it used to be called Lulas Apthercary) and it is super adorable and old-fashioned!!! (Like the babycakes of vegan ice cream if ya feel me)

They serve ice cream over the counter in little glass bowls and they sell vegan candy bars, marshmallows, and chocolate near the counter (You’ll feel like Charlie in Charlie in the Chocolate Factory, expect for the fact that you probably won’t find the golden ticket. #sucksforyou)

You can get banana splits (like I did) or brownie sundaes (Like Bella did) or even coke floats, flouries, shakes, and malts (Like I’m sure some randos did). The ice cream is AMAZEBALLS and they have, like, a shizload of toppings and syrups.

Just make sure you get there when no one else is there because, if you go there when it is crowded, you’ll  end up like those sad, sorry people sitting on the bench outside in the cold, licking their remnants of frozen cream off their sad little glass bowls wishing only to be in the warmth and comfort of the booth inside the Apothecary . Like,  I genuinely feel sorry for those people and  for some reason always feel like giving them my change on the way out.

It closed for a bit (God knows why) but it’s open again so go get your ice cream!

And you know how people say “Don’t shovel your food”? Well, the spoons are litterally mini shovels, so dig in! (<–get it? LOLZ)
